Across the river to Shoreham

Updated: Oct 14, 2024

I’ve drawn and painted a number of views looking across the Adur from the south side of the river this year. This one was recently exhibited together with my linocuts at the River Cafe & Bistro. I particularly like the early light that makes the row of Shoreham’s high street shops and cafes seem to glow in the morning. There have been ever changing dramatic skies above throughout the day. I also enjoy watching and drawing the different birds that fly in like the oystercatchers, turnstones, egrets, dunlin and redshanks who move along the river banks at low tide to feed.
