An exhibition featuring a range of artwork created by students attending Northbrook College's day and evening Art courses. Some are just beginning their creative journey while others have developed their own distinctive style and professional finish.

Drop by during Saturday morning to watch some lino printing demos, or stay longer to create your own mini lino block or print some ready-made blocks onto card. Suitable for adults and accompanied children over 10.

Recently completed two new lino cuts, "Adur Evening Tide",  low tide on the River Adur in Shoreham when the sun is low with some beautiful rich colours reflected. "Ropetackle Rhythms" linocut, also with a richer darker colour scheme. Work inspired by music at the Ropetackle and the sculptures along the riverside walk.

Cards and prints will be available at Shoreham Art Gallery.

A shop in the Montague Quarter, Worthing will be turning into a gallery next month displaying the work of 22 artists many from the Adur Art Collective. A wide range work in 2D and 3D media is on show including my linocuts.

The book, an entertaining and informative overview of nineteen major way marked paths of Sussex, costs £15 with all profits donated to Friends of Sussex Hospices.

Although there isn't an Adur Art Trail in June this year you can visit the fabulous Summer Exhibition "Flora and Fauna" in the historic St Mary de Haura church in the centre of Shoreham and nearby Shoreham Art Gallery. Both have an interesting and diverse range of 2D and 3D work on show.

Children from Swiss Gardens Primary School visited Shoreham Art Gallery & Sculpture Garden back in May while exploring Shoreham. At the gallery the children saw how different artwork was created by some of the gallery's artists. As a result this week at Shoreham Gallery we have the children's colourful Art Exhibition amongst our own work and proceeds from their sales will go to their chosen charity Shoreham Dogs Trust.

Snowy Worthing

Come along to this special "Light-Up" evening in Shoreham-by-Sea in the build up to the Christmas festivities.  Lots of venues will be open til late and will help to get you into the Christmas spirit with different activities, food and cheer.

Hooray for Spring! More daylight and green shoots are emerging among sculptural forms in the gallery garden. You may also spot a couple of mad March hares in the gallery this month too! There's magnificent metalwork by guest artist, blacksmith Lee Portwain, on show with metal shaped and twisted to stunning effect. Plus, some exceptional new pieces by the gallery artists and creative workshops coming up. My latest lampshades are also on display at Shoreham Art Gallery, inspired by my garden sketchbook drawings.  These hand-painted shades sit on beautiful turned wood lamp bases by Anna Cates.

The Circular Space: A Summer of Print

Supported by Adur & Worthing Trust‘s Creative Commissions 2023 “A Summer of Print” is a community printmaking project taking place at The Circular Space in Shoreham over the summer months. Printmaker/artists Karolyn Mnich and Claire Lemmon will be running series of enjoyable hands-on workshops for all ages and abilities, children and adults. an opportunity to try linoprinting, screenprinting, collagraph and mono printing using a wide range of materials...
